Personal Bio | | | As
a native of Colorado, Martin has been fascinated with photography and the
great outdoors for as long as he can remember. Specializing in nature, travel and outdoor recreation, Martin's first published
photograph was on the cover of the September 1980 issue of Empire Magazine.
Since then his photos and
articles have been featured in hundreds of diverse publications, from Backpacker
to the travel section of the New York
Times, and specialized magazines like Nature Photographer and Petersen's
Photographic. He is the photographer/author of the book "Exploring
Colorado State Parks" with several new book projects on the drawing
board. His photo of a bison appears on the tail section of a Frontier
Airlines plane. His photos have also graced the pages of numerous calendars,
text books, posters, post cards and greeting cards. Martin resides on the
high plains, only a short drive from the majestic Rocky Mountains with his wife Laurel and his two photo assistants, Crazy Kramer and Happy Sage. | |

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
My endeavor as a photographer/writer, is to
illustrate the wonders
of our
colorful
world, the magnificent glory of God's creation. I am so grateful for the adventurous life that I have been blessed with. But
the real adventure did not begin until I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and
Savior. That's when I began to learn the true meaning of life, and that is
simply to know Him and to have a relationship with the Creator of the universe
so that we may have eternal life.
The more I see, the more I learn, and the more I learn the more I know that there is a
Divine Creator of the universe. I
believe in the Supreme Creator
because I see the evidence of His signature in all the natural
world. I see His fingerprints on every rock, every tree, every flower and all living creatures, including man. The Lord has given us a free will, and we choose to believe what
we want.
But to think that the
universe came from random chance and mere happenings is not statistically
or mathematically valid. There is a difference between the Creator
and the creation. God is not nature, He created nature and He reveals
Himself through nature. Sadly, few people realize that.
I am concerned about environmental issues, but I am not here to save the earth. That's
God's job. The havoc we face in the world today is the result of man's rebellion
against God. At some point, the King of creation will "make all things new"
restoring His creation back to its original glory, the way it was meant to
be.
It is I
who made the earth, and created man upon it.
I stretched out the heavens with My hands And I ordained
all their hosts.
Isaiah 45:12
